I want to lap my E6600 core duo (LGA 775) but I think I threw out that blank socket that it was shipped in. I need the socket to hold it while I lap.
Anyone still have the blank LGA 775 socket that their CPU shipped in?

just get some very thick cardboard and place it on top of the cpu pins. and try to hold the cpu by the sides instead of the top.
