I have Dell Inspiron E1505 and I've had it for about 7-8 months. It was working fine until today(well sort of). I've noticed that the battery charger indicator is flashing orange. I thought that my battery life is low so I checked it to see how much battery do I have in my desktop and oddly, it said 100% full. I then proceed to check to see if my charger is plugged in properly and it is plugged in properly. I cannot figure it out why it is flashing? Anyone know why?

Well

I just checked my computer again. When the computer is turned off, the light is still blinking orange. I was confused but then I decided to unplug the charger then the light is no longer blinking. So is the charger defective or the battery defective?

The orange blinking light means that the battery is overheated. Take it out for about an hour or so and let it cool down and reinstall it. It should go away.

Have you checked to see if your battery was on the recall list? If you push the button on the battery and the lights show up orange, contact dell about that, they may send you out a replacement if i remember correctly.

yes, i've checked it out and mine is not on the list. i will definately take my battery out to cool it down.

Oh yeah, i forgot to tell you. A desktop is a computer with a seperate monitor and tower. A laptop is a foldable computer with both pieces together. You have a laptop. No biggie, just figured id tell ya for future reference.
