Anything wrong with open box?

I found this MoBo..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130240R

it was pretty cheap and I like the brand. It says it's open box though..

I found the i5 cpu for $149! its $200 on newegg

Will this work pretty well. I'm on a budget, I am not planning on overclocking, maybe ill try it sometime. Im not a hardcore gamer, so it's not necessary.

Thanks for the help

Open box is normally a good way to get like new products at a cheaper price, but I wouldn't do it with mobos. The thing is, open box items may or may not come with the accessories that normally come in the box, such as any adapters or cables. With most components this isn't a problem, but with motherboards you might not be getting the I/O shield which is hard to find and pricey to buy separately.

Sure, you can still use the mobo without the I/O shield, but you'll have a big gaping hole in your case which looks trashy and collects dust.

Thank you. Ill keep that in mind. Maybe there is a way to find if it comes with everything.

Does it seem like a good enough mobo for a budget build? and for the i5

I buy refurb products without any concerns on most items. When it came to a Motherboard - I was considering a refurb MOBO and I got cold feet at my local microcenter. Supposedly they have all been tested and working fine - but I wanted a new one - figured they were returned for a reason - and I didn't want to learn what the reason was.

FWIW - I don't think the refurbs come with the SATA and IDE cables that come with a new MOBO.
