AOPEN DVD/+rw...cant find...HELP!

Model: AOPEN DUW 1608/arr
In device manager it has the yellow cirlce with a black exclamation point in it.
Then inside device manager under device status it says:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

The thing is it was just working yesterday. Then I booted it up last night and that was there, and is still there. It didn't come with any installation cd's, which wouldnt help anyways bc i have only one drive till my new one comes.

Please help I can use all the help i can get....thanks

Seems to be a problem of your copy of Windows.

I think that there is something wrong with the driver database file of your OS. It's either missing or simply corrupt. Try reinstalling windows . Nah just joking..but wait for someone better to reply.

If that does work try this HERE. The product is DVD rewriter, model DUW1608/arr. I was just tryin to dl the firmware on the top....because it looked to be the newest. or the Firmware Livupdate.

1) tried uninstalling the ide channel, rebooting and letting O/S reinstall?

2) double checked ide connection and jumper?

3) see if it will work in another pc?

2. Goto approrpriate device
3. Right click -> uninstall;
4. Reboot the machine

Yeah, i already did that.....i think that some how a file or some files got deleted, im reloading XP all together, i installed xp on my d:\ drive, bc i couldnt even log into this one, and it recognized everything.

I just bought my new video card- BFG 6600gtOC GeFORCE nVIDIA, and my new psu and cdRW/dvd drives coming tomorow.

I'm starting from scratch, again.

*I'm a little confused with all the BIOS and stuff. Since my mobo has the liveupdate that i can install on my computer, would this be the best way to update everything? or does it miss stuff?
