apple and intel cpu comparison

im sorry... let me rephrase that question

as i heard over some friends, they say that the apple's processors are almost double the speed of a pc's intel's speed. could anybody elaborate?
 
Apples are way faster than Intel. If you took a Intel running at 700Mhz, and a apple running 700Mhz also, the apple would probly run 1.5x-2x faster than the intel. I have a Power Mac 3 running at 433Mhz i beleive and it runs probly as fast as my 600Mhz PIII. The apple also has twice the ram so that might be it too.

Errr, an intel running at speed X and a power pc running at X will... believe it or not... they run at the same speed, a speed of X
 
Precisly!:D But if you remember einstines law, E=MC2, so i would say x does not egual X because newtons 1st law so i would say X is a equilibrium.
