Apple Discontinues Computer Sales?

The schools that I am interning at have iBook's for all the teachers, and all the old desktop PC's are being switched with Mac Mini's.

Every teacher and every student has their own mac book at my work. Also, we needed some all-in-one machines because of limited number of power drops in certain buildings and ended up buying iMacs for them all. These clients though have to run windows. So, we have about 200 or so iMacs running windows. That cracks me up every time I walk by an office filled with iMacs running windows.

We will be getting a few more servers in the near future as well. We are thinking about making a pod cast server and an internal ichat server. I just have to wait for my boss to buy one so I can test it out at my building and then once it goes well buy several more for the other buildings.

I seriusly doubt that they will stop making pcs,Why would they theyre doing great.

Especialy those Macs with the Intel processors now.
they could do with reducing the costs of Macs though they are a ripoff.

If anything happen to Apple, I am the first one to know. LOL

where did you read about that?
I need proves. because I hardly can believe it since they are announcing new products for 2008 such as iphone with 3G.

Now, Apple may drop the word "computer" from their company name because they are no longer just a computer company. They are a computer, ipod, iphone, iTv, software, multi media company now. I think that is where you may have heard such a rumor. They could change their name to Apple Technologies or whatever, or just Apple, or Macintosh, or who cares really.

They already did that. They dropped "Computer" from their name to become Apple Inc.

i know somebody that did that.
wasn't to hard as i understand it. it was just a matter of making everything work.

Its easy to do...but its against EULA

Only reason for running windows would be to play games but mac hardware isnt good enough for windows games...therefore bootcamp is useless.

Until Macs get all the games Windows has, I think they actually should stop making computers. Easy use and stylish appearance just aren't enough for kids nowadays. I actually want a Mac just to see how it is, but I don't think they're worth their price.

gamers are a niche market that represent a small amount of computer users. People do serious things on Macs like audio and video production, graphic design, animation, medical research, education, development, so on and so forth.

Until gaming becomes a major percentage of your average users needs for computers I don't see Apple, or anyone besides like Falcon or Alienware catering to gamers.

This is a trumor, so take it as you said it... APPLE WONT MANUFACTURE COMPUTERS. They may design, sell and do all the other stuff, just have other companies build them. Seems reasonable...
