Apple Xcode 3

Apple no longer has xcode 3 available in the store, only xcode 4. Am I able to download xcode 3 from a alternate site such as cnet.com since xcode is free anyways? Or is that illegal?

I don't see how it's illegal, you just need to find a hosting company that still has it available for download.

Alright, thank you both! I figured that it wasn't illegal since its free on Mac, I just wanted to make sure.
