application error

hu guys

got a slight problem with my computer and internet explorer keeps on closing when ever i click on a link

all of a sudden i started to get a application error
xb40onxN.exe
(the application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000142)
any ideas of what it could be

any help appreciated

Done virus/mal/ad/spyware scans? That's what I think it could be, I googled for it but nothing came up...
