Anybody had any experience with this cooler, I'm thinking of getting it as my temps are @ 36c idle, which I feel is a little hot.

Do you think it'll fit in my case, it's 18cm wide, I think the heatsink would be right up to the window, this wouldn't be a problem would it?

If you have this cooler could you post some pictures please? :)

I used to have that cooler, and overall it's pretty good, but because of how heavy and tall it is it can cause problems. Because it's so much taller then normal heatsinks, theres alot more pressure pushing it down, and unless you have it securely fastened, there will be a slight gap between the CPU and heatsink.

That happened on one of my rigs because there was a faulty clip which cause it not be securely fastened, so the temps got hot real quick. I ended up having to prop it up.

Considering your case is 185mm wide - No that wouldn't fit in your case as that leaves 5mm for standoffs motherboard and cpu

104 x 58 x 126.5 mm

That's the dimensions of the cooler, it's 13cm tall, my case is 18, so it leaves 5 cm for the motherboard and CPU.

I heard it wasn't as heavy as some other coolers...

So, if all the clips are Ok, it shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry i thought yuou meant 18 cm tall. Should fit your case fine as it probs wont hit anything on the motherboard because the 'plates' are quite high up

Oh, no, lol, It's 18 cm wide :P

Do most CPU coolers come close to the side of the case?

It's not that the cooler is heavy, but since it's so tall theres alot more strain on the clips and on the motherboard.

Would you say that was a reason not to get it?
I wouldnt really say that, it's just something to keep in mind if you notice that it's leaning really far over and the temps are pretty high, you may just have to prop it up somehow.

Have u looked at any other alternatives? say a sythe or Zalman?

I have, They're more epensive and they require that I take the MOBO out, which I can't be bothered doing...

Alright, Thanks for the help :)

Yeh i bought a northbridge chipset but then realised i need to take motherboard out and i realy cba to take it out as id probably damage it somehow.
