I just put this together last night, with my e8400.

Its running at about 39c and 47c which is fine.

My concern is how do i make my arctic freezer spin a little faster to help temps a little bit.

In my bios the option is blacked out and i cant change it.

great. so how am i supposed to know how warm i am? lol.

in BIOS i change it to PWR i believe and thats all i can alter. before that it would run in windows at all. now its fine. but i just want to see what im at as far as temps now.

im sure im fine, but id like to know.

You can ask any E8400 owner at CF. They all have problems with their E8400's temperatures. None of them can get accurate reading, with any software.

Your temperatures should be fine though.

Yeah. BIOS says 27C, HWMonitor says 37, and SpeedFan says 36.

But with that cooler and acrtic silver 5 i should be fine.

With the whole break in thing what is the best way to "break" it in?

Core Temp would be the most accurate one to use, Give that a shot dude!

Erm, Break in period, well, I don't know, just use it, there isn't really anything you can do to break it in better...

yea thats what i figured, i normally would leave my computer running but they say its better to turn it off for a few hours every now and then so that the cpu get back down to room temperature. which i have been doing. so ill try out that program and see what happens
