Are all these computer parts compatible?

I'm building my own desktop pc to save a bit of money. I really don't want to go over $600 and I'd like to be able to do some mild gaming on it....I don't play hardcore, but I'd like to be able to play recent and upcoming games in at least low-medium settings.
Is this a fairly good setup? And will it all work together?

Please give me any input you have. I need responses pretty quickly as I want to build this with my brother and he is leaving in October and I need time to ship the parts here. NOTE: All of these items are specific items from newegg.com I'd like to get everything from there.

EDIT: Any way I can keep my setup this good while lowering the price? Any good deals with the same components on newegg that I don't know of?

The onboard sound is better then the sound card you picked.

Why do you need a LAN card, it has onboard LAN port?

Plus you can get a Burner for just a few more bucks instead of just a DVD/ROM.

Since you are buying an original equipment manufacturer processor you are going to need to buy a heatsink.

If I were you I would just spend $17 more and get a quad-core processor. You will get one extra core which will give you more processing power.

Yeah, thanks I might look into getting that quad-core...
And I was going to ask about cases, because I want to use my old one that I have. It's a full size tower but is there something to do with compatibility that I need to check into or will any case do? And roughly how much can I get a heatsink for?

The case doesn't seem to have any sort of manufacturer logo on it at all that I can see? Why is that important?
 
Original equipment manufacturer cases sometimes cannot have the parts pulled out and new parts put in because they are built specifically for the parts that were assembled inside it.

Was your old system a custom build for you (were the parts assembled by someone who was not an original equipment manufacturer)? If the old system was you can likely use the old case. It depends if your old case can fit the motherboard you are looking at which is a 12 inch by 9.6 inch motherboard.

If you have a camera take a photo of the outside and inside of the case and throw it up. The 925 is a good deal, plus you would not have to worry about getting a heatsink.

Think you will be alright, the case is kinda short. See how close the top of the board is to the power supply. But it looks like a full size ATX motherboard with all the slots. If it doesnt fit or you dont want to risk it, you can always get a decent case for between 40/60 bucks.

Really? But I've read so many reviews between the two graphics cards (9800GT vs HD 4650) and the 9800 gt seems like it's better. Videos showed that even with a processor that wasn't as good as the one I have selected it could play games like crysis pretty well....Is there that big of a difference?
 
Yeah but your running an amd machine, Iv read reviews where the ati does fine on the amd machine and the nvidia does horrible in the amd machine. I'd get the 5650, newegg has the HIS 5650 on sale for $70.

I don't see the 5650 on newegg....
One question:
Will the 5550 1GB with the rest of my specs be able to run crysis?
That's sort of the benchmark for future games to come.....

Thanks, but I think I'm going to stick with what I've got. (The 9800 GT, that is...It's a pretty good deal considering it's only $50 after rebate)
