Are fan controllers worth the $$

Was looking at a couple of 5.25" fan controllers and was wondering if they are worth the money or would it be better to leave them hooked to the motherboard. If they are a good thing to have can somebody recommend a good controller...it would be operating 3-130mm and 1-140mm fans

since the onboard mobo sometimes cant control them to the best of the abilities or ease of use isnt the finest...id say grab a fan controller, something with some simple knobs, thats all you need really. just to turn the fan speed up and down.

You motherboard manufacturer should have an app to control the fan speeds.

But if you really don't mind the noise made by your computer then I would suggest plugging in all the fans to the PSU directly itself.

And if you like your Computer Quiet and do not have an application from the motherboard manufacturer then getting a fan controller is an option.

Yes i think they are worth it because it gives you full control over your fans as like mentioned, some motherboards don't give you the option too fully.

I have a Zalman ZM-MFC2 in my system,Its alright...can be a bit fiddly as its digital and of all the different settings etc.

I prefer the older type manual ones like the Zalman ZM-MFC1.
