I do not play games but I would run big softwares since I am a programmer. So I do not care about the video card, as long as it does not disturb me by its sound. Could you give me some suggestion about that?
If you don't need the GPU portion then you can just remove it entirely. The CPU has an integrated video that is decent for productivity. In your case I'd only throw in a dedicated card if you are doing something with CUDA/OpenCL and needed additional acceleration.
I'd go with the DDR4 build since it's a better investment moving forward.
