Are SCSI disks something of the past ?

Are SCSI disks something of the past, I see less of them at various computer stores compared with before ?

One online store I usually hook up things at have stopped completely selling them.

SCSI is still quite popular in servers, not so much in desktops

That was my thought as well. I'd like to see the difference between IDE/SATA/SCSI drives... better do some googling!

SCSI is still around but a lot of them are moving to SAS (serially attached SCSI).
