Maybe a terribly stupid question.. but are there LCD screens ( 19" ) with a higher native resolution than 1280x 1024? you know, like 1600x1200 or 1840x1440?

I figured there'd be some out there. It's probably more of a limitation of the LCDs. I mean that's a lot of pixels to cram into that area :P

well... They have a pretty old CRT monitor (22") that goed up to 1840x1440 (if i remember correctly) and the pixels on my current LCD are pretty noticable, they're so.. well,.. edgy. especially when playing a flight sim for example, you really notice the low resolution :(
thats why i was wondering if they were around, since I dont have the space anymore now for a CRT.

Yeah, I got a 17" CRT that hits 1600x1200. But realize CRTs work TOTALLY different than LCDs. With a LCD, you basically have to make every pixel on the screen. I beleive a good analogy would be those large screens at say baseball feilds. They have many little.

As for noticing pixels at a low resolution, I have a hard time really understanding/explaining it, but realize LCDs have a set number of pixels. So as you increase the resolution, each visible pixel is basically 4 on the LCD.
