Looking at buying an external HD for my Xbox One. I'm searching for 7200rpm drives and these are coming up but nowhere can I see if they are actually 7200rpm!

The first one is the "Western Digital My Passport Ultra 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive, Red" and the other is "WD 2TB Elements Portable Hard Drive". Any info would be grand.

Unless it's a 3.5" disk in an enclosure, it will most likely be 5400RPM, as that's the common speed on 2.5" disks.

Buy your own enclosure and buy the drive you want to put in it. That way you'll be certain about the specs of the actual drive.

You could also get a docking station and roll your own 3.5" internal HDD if you had extras. I threw one of my spare 1 TB that was previously in the file server onto the XB1 and it's been working a charm (you'll find they're also faster than the internal HDD for loading games etc).

Most portable hard drives will be 2.5" 5400RPM drives, as they are cheaper, use less power, and run cooler. If you want a 7200RPM drive, your best bet would be to buy a drive and external enclosure.
