Are these the risers for Mobos?

hmm i just got my case (i think its in my sig) and my mobo (in sig) and when i was reading guides to building they talked about risers...so i was wondering if these screw like objects are it...thanks

yes those are the risers you screw them into your case where the screw holes are for your mobo and then screw your mobo into those..

Yup. They keep your motherboard from touching the metal case and shorting out.

haha i realize wht they do...but how do they? arent the risers made of metal themselvse? so it will do the same thing no? i mean of course it doesnt cuz its been proven...but y not? ya im dumb..heh

Notice where the screws go into the mobo... there is a little ring of metal around the hole, but nothing else relitively near it? The screws don't touch any of the circuitry, and prevent the circuitry from touching the case.

o i c...thanks for that explanation so its best to use every one of the holes on the mobo with the risers then i guess...

I try too, but on a full ATX mobo, it usually doesn't come with enough to do the whole thing.
