are videos from megaupload safe?

From what I understand it any file from megaupload is freely hosted and unvetted. So there will never be 100% security from what you download from it. However the chances of a virus being hidden in a video file are probably very slim. Have a good real-time antivirus program running, and if you download anything bad then the antivirus should automatically delete it.
