Same, most of my games and apps only work on XP right now, and I wont completely switch until they have all my apps available for Vista.

I'll probably get it with my next new PC, so probably in around 2 years, although if someone offered it to me now i would probably take it. although i'd need a helluva lot more ram

I dont know enough about computers to be able to make my mind up on this one. There's nothing that I can think of that I need to do that xp cant do for me.... So I guess i'll just sit back and wait for awhile.

I guess the appeal is just having the latest os and being able to know what people are talking about when they mention it.

I might get it a year after the release when the bugs have been fixed and the major patches have been released. Even then, it would have to be a major improvement from XP..., which may take awhile after that.

later on, when bugs are fixed and ive got more than this rig, i need a good dx10 card, and more memory would help, my processor would take a beating too

I will get it eventually but first I will need more ram and a HD upgrade (I use 45Gb out of my 60Gb). I was running Vista B2 and RC1 for a little while, but it is a resource hog.

You must be joking. You dont need more then 4GB of RAM or more then 1TB of storage to run Vista...
