ARG major prpoble, with psu

Hello guys, couple of weeks back my compuyter wasnt turning on at all no sign of life what so ever, not even the fans were turning

so i was advised that it was my power supply and i had a years warrenty with it, so i sent it back and there claiming the power supply is turnong on normaly :/

i tried powering the computer on, ive tried taking the psu out and trying to power th psu up then but nothing :/ im waiting for my psu to get send back, what should i do and whats the problem with my comp :(

I would say motherboard. If any other component was broken the computer would "turn on", it just won't post or display anything. Have you tried turning your powersupply on w/o connecting to the motherboard? Get a paper clip and stick one end in the green wire and the other end in the black wire of the 24 pin motherboard connector. This should at least turn your power supply on (the fan would start spinning).
 
Test the PSU in another machine or another PSU in that machine if possible. Try removing everything (RAM, cards, etc) and see if the board will power up then. Perhaps even remove the mobo and try it outside the case (confirm nothing's shorting out)
 
ok well i tried powering the psu up outside the computer conncected to nothing and it still didnt power up :(

new mother board :( oh no :(
 
i need a new mobo, the company said that the psu works ... :( i have 1 years warrenty on it anyway so they will replace my mobo free off charge ...

if i hget a new notherboard will i have to re install windows 7 ? loose all my music etc

If the Mobo is exactly the same then you should not need to re-install, it's only when hardware is different a repair of the OS or install is needed.
