What program should i use to scan for artifacts? I recently overclocked my gpu and cpu again so i want to see if it runs stable.
 
you usually see artifacts when running a 3d program like a game or something. The artifacts will only appear if the gpu gets hot.
 
since you have ati, get atitool (google for ati tool), its an oc'ing app, but it can scan for artifacts.
 
idk, i havn't ran it for a long time yet. I was overclocking the card more. Got it to 540mhz core and 570mhz mem without much problem. The idle temp was 43C, 1 degree higher than stock. I get better performance playing battlefield vietnam with 64 bots and highest res now. I'll check for artifacts tomorrow.
 
How long should you leave the artifact checker on for? Because i had it on for 5 minutes and the card shot up to 69°c infact it got up to 65 from 48 in about 1 minute.
 
i'd leave it on for around 5-7 minutes, because when i ran mine, it shot up from around 38C to 62C within a minute, but it was stable around 65C for the rest of the test.
 
i was using the "show 3D image" thingy at my overclocked speed and it the temp stabalized at around 67 degrees and i was getting around 210fps on the rotating fuzzy cube.
