ASAP CPU cooler advice.

If you MUST get one of those today, then I would say either the water cooling loop or the Akasa AK-961; depends on the airflow within your case really.

If you can wait 4/5 working days, I would suggest getting a heatsink from Thermalright. Such as, say, the XP-120, or the CNPS8000 from Zalman if space is an issue. Remember, if you get any heatsink, buy some thermal paste as well.

I tend to be of the opinion that cheap water cooling setups are no better in cooling performance that good air coolers. Of the two air coolers you've posted, I would choose the AKASA AK-961. Of the two reviews I read for each one, the Coolermaster Vortex TX seemed to perform no better than a stock Intel cooler, while the AKASA cooled the processor to 10 degrees below the stock cooler.

Make sure you get some decent thermal paste to get the most out of the cooler, though. Arctic Silver 5 should do the trick.

Remember to do some research about applying the paste, and take your time when attaching the heatsink. You don't want to screw it up.

Absolutely, and also bear in mind many thermal pastes require a period of time to 'bed in' properly. Avoid the generic white goo if possible, they're never as good as brands.

Now the question rises. Should I leave the originaly already applied termal paste (AKASA AK-460) or should I just wipe it and put mine (AKASA AK-450)?

It's amazing. At 3.0GHz fan speed was ca. 750 rpms to keep it @ 40 degrees. When I overclocked to 3.2GHz temperature raised up to 42-44 and fan is still at 750 rpms...
Which is unbelivably slow compering that my old one to keep cpu around 42 degrees at stock speed needed around 1400 rpms...
