Ask.com appears and loses search when internet disconnects

I did a search and couldn't find this topic on the forum already
Basically recently if I do a search in my googletoolbarbox ask.com and my internet disconnects it goes to ask.com. This is so annoying as I hate the site and whats worse is there is no back function or any way to tell what I have searched and I often forget... It used to just go to a blankish page or something but I could always refresh to find what I had searched

I've just removed ask.com from the toolbar thingy, I didn't think it was there since google is my default. Someone told me this won't solve anything but I don't really know til my net cuts out again.

Anyone else have this problem and why did they make such a silly site which loses what you typed?

Try removing the Ask.com toolbar from your computer this may return your other toolbar to default.

Check ur default search provider , if its set to Ask.com changed to Google i think thats ur prob.
