Aspire keyboard 2190M

my acer aspire computer will no longer work.It will not work because i spilled some POP on the keyboard.When i changed the keyboard the computer didn't know that there was a keyboard there.Could some body tell me were i can find the exact keyboard for the problem or if there is something in the system that i can do?P.S. With an acer computer it starts out telling you too conect the mouse and keyboard, i can't get past that screen to do anything else. Thanx, Phill Freeman

Is it a USB keyboard and mouse? or is it a PS/2 keyboard and mouse?

The Problem is with the keyboard,i have no problems with my mouse But they are both usb

Uh... why not just get another usb/PS2 keyboard? Or must you have that exact model?

try a PS/2 keyboard if you can. What OS are you running?

This is a PS/2 keyboard. Maybe the PS/2 interface is faulty by some means, i might have to try a USB.
