Asrock instant boot

Has anybody seen this?

I just got it going on my computer and the computer boots up to a usable state in like 5 seconds, its rediculous.

it requires a reboot of your system so looks like shutting down takes a bit longer but I guess it basically just dumps Windows into memory so next time you turn your pc on it instantly appears. Of course it requires a small trickle or power to your memory when the computer is off.

That just sounds like puting your computer to sleep.

Its kinda cool though. You shut your computer off at work and when you come in the next day it turns on and at a usable state in under 10 seconds.

Lame dude sounds exactly like stand-by to me. Does your board have Express gate? You may want to look at that. I think its pretty sweet. I don't use it, but....

That's what standby is, taking a snapshot of your computer and putting everything in the ram.

It could be an hardware issue and driver also.

give more time to your RAM and Power supply unit.
