ASROCK motherboard problem??

I have an ASROCK z77 fatalty professional motherboard and whenever I power my system on it will power on then turn off again. It will do that 3 times before it actualy starts. I also does that when I try to restart my computer from within windows. anyone have any idea s to what is causing this?
 
Also, have you overclocked it? Maybe it's too high. Try lowering, if doesn't work, read previous comment :)
 
i havnt overclocked it so I will try the first option. pretty sure my power supply is fine as it worked without issue before i upgraded a few weeks ago
 
fixed it. it was a problem with the ram settings. i set the speed to auto and it is now working how it should. cheers for the suggestions.
