Hey, for those who haven't purchased Assassin's Creed, it is on Steam for $5.00. :D That's a 75% discount. Just to point that out there for those who haven't played.:D

I'll have to pick this up :)

Is it me or are the steam servers being absoultly thrashed right now?

Can't get to the main page, and theres 800 people playing L4D :S

I've avoided STEAM b/c everything is a download rather than DVD based.

What happens if you have to re-install Windows 7 - do I permantly lose a game I downloaded from them - or is there a way they store my downloads in their site - and I can re-download it to my same PC?

Thanks

You can redownload it, to whatever comptuer you are on, as long as you arent signed in to your same account anywhere twice at the same time.

I just picked it up. For $5, it can't be beat really. Rented it for a week on xbox and liked it then, hopefully I still do now. lol

probably all the pr0n you're downloading :D

= 0, I stream it from sattellite TV

Seriously though, I couldn't access the server, and there were only 800 people plauying L4D, when tehres usually over 10,000, something must have been up.

Oh and, Assassins Creed on UK steam = £19.99.

Any way I can buy it on teh US steam ?

What bootup05 said is correct.
Just to clarify a little, when you purchase a game on steam, it is linked to your account. So any computer you use, you can simply log into your account and download the game (but can only have 1 computer logged in at a time). Steam is arguably more safe than a DVD because a DVD can get scratched or lost whereas as long as you remember your steam account info, you're set (and they do have password recovery).

Even if steam goes out of business, they have said that they will release patches so that your games will still work.

What i do with all my steam games: back them up to DVD so whenever i format i can just load the files to the pc and restore the game. worked twice so far!

Guys is there any way I can get this for $4.99?

I have cash im my account. erm

IDK could someone from cofo gift it to me?

I'll send you £8 (thats more than $10) in paypal and you could buy for yourselves AND gift AND have cash left over?

Would anyone do that?

Thats my bank account right now.

I'm not fussed

right now. £8 in dollars is $13

I'll add my card to paypal, send someone £8, they can get the game themselves, I'll get it as a gift and you also get $3.

Will anyone trusy do this?

My only alternative is to spend £20 on the game. Which is just no.

Assassin's Creed = 29 Euros on Steam from Germany :( That's like over $40 US Dollars:eek:

I always see these great deals on Steam...I click on a link and it quadruples in price:mad:

I have of course the English Steam but when you go to buy something it turns to Euros and gets so expensive....you can't even buy it from Europe. Steam is loosing a huge gaming market in Europe. I imagine it's not even steam...European Union and their 10,000 regulations on EVERYTHING!

Yeah all the exchange students over here are amazed at how cheap games are, Steam and otherwise.

I don't them to not have a seizure though, because we'll have to ship their asses back for medical care ha.

You go to the local German computer store...new games are 49 Euros...that's about $70 US Dollars!

I have a US mailing address so I can shop online at American stores and get good prices...then shipping costs as much as the game! It's a loose loose situations for some of us and games:(

If I lived in the US I would have like 100 games on my Steam...they always have deals!
