Asus 9800GTX vs XFX 9800GTX

Hey guys,

Any one has any thoughts on these 2 graphic cards? Which of it will you recommend for its performance and stability?

are u sure the brick is fried or just the plug, if u have a multi meter u could test it to see, if not then i think the one u posted is fine, my buddy just had to replace one for his toshiba and he ordered one similar in price and hasnt had one problem and that was a month or 2 ago
 
shoot i meant to post this to a dif thread my bad, didnt pay attention to which one i had open,, so scratch that i would have just edited but for some reason it wont let me in firefox..

as far ur vid cards go, ive noticed that xfx alot of the time have higher mem and clock speeds
 
Apart from any clock differences, stock fans... Not much a difference. Same GPU. You can get an 8800gts 512mb for significantly less, which is the same GPU as the 9800gtx except with slightly lower clocks and "Inferior" HD video acceleration. Which is to say, they perform pretty much exactly the same.

Then. When you have a GTS, You OC it ;)

Then, put the GTS Core up to 800 and the Memory 1000, look at the difference, So, I'm guessing my GTS is better than a 9800GTX?

Yeah, core clock should contribute more to performance than the memory clock. Not by much but whatever, Sexy OC'd silicon goodness ftw! :D
