not been keeping up with tech lately and thought it was time i scrapped my old nvid fx 5600 graphics for something that might run a game or two lol

any good ideas on what i should buy that will run ok on the asus board dont wanna pay a bomb :confused:
 
Basically any AGP card should work just fine. Perhaps something like a 7600GS would be a decent investment? There are some on newegg for right around $120.

The real problem, though, is AGP cards are rather expensive now. The only 7600GT they had was closer to $180 for AGP. There's one for $90 for PCI-Express...
 
PCI over AGP, no. PCI Express over AGP, yes.

Now realize a PCI-Express 7600GT is no better than an AGP 7600GT(or any other graphics chipset) It's only "better" because it's the new interface, and cards are much cheaper and readily available as mentioned above.
