I assemblied my computer yesterday and everything has worked quite well. But I would like to ask few questions.

My motherboard is version ASUS A8N-E rev 2.00,
which BIOS is it using and do I need to update it?
What about chipset drivers?
How do I know which chipset drivers do I have? My CPU is athlon 64 3000+ with Venice core.

And another thing. When I installed new catalyst 5.9 for my asus X800XL graphic driver, I get following error when I start my XP.

"CLI.exe- application error
the application failed to initalialize properly (0xc0000135)"

Another difference after installing catalyst is that when I check my graphic driver properties from control panel it shows me asus x800 and not asus x800xl as before installing latest drivers. Is this normal or do
I have wrong drivers?

Thanks. If you need more info, just ask!

depends what week you have. check when you boot up the machine. update it if you want... i probably would.

if you mean "should i install them".. then absolutely.

they come with the motherboard on a CD. alternatively you can find them on the website

probably Catalyst stupidites. grab RivaTuner and what does RivaTuner report it as

You can also try different versions of the Catalyst 5.9
Classic
Catalyst Control Center

You can also try Catalyst5.8 too
