Asus comp worth buying?

If you can find someone to assemble the system for you, even if you pay them $100, you can build your own cheaper and better.

The one you're looking at is not optimized for gaming, and you could see much higher FPS if we could design the system for you.

is this relatively worth the price? is there any thing this computer appears to be missing? i will be using it to play sc2 and bf3. I really don't know anything about computers so wouldn't really consider building my own.
Not worth the money, and here is why.
1. you are paying for a 3770k, yet there is a good chance that the motherboard is locked down. That aside, you don't need a 3770k, though if you have the money, it is worth it.
2. 1600MHz memory. This is not bad, but you can have more speed for the same price, and from a more reliable brand.
3. GTX660. This is not worth what they are charging for it. If you play at 1080p, it will do, but set the bottom line at the 660ti, and the 670 for a decent improvement.
4. The PSU model is not stated, but even being an Asus, I will guarantee that it is a low quality unit, and worth maybe $30.

For teh price you should be looking at an i5, GTX670, 1866 memory, Z77 UD5H, and a decent case with a quality PSU.

Haha I knew everyone would say exactly what they said. The only thing about the computer that bugs me is the Power supply unit. If you have a lot of money go ahead and buy it... I am not sure what buying computers in Canada is like. If that were in the USA... I know you could probally build that for a few hundred dollars left... If you don't care about all that then just get it

I have to agree. You can choose your own specs and build and even better machine.

Wow, $1700. You can build a better system for $1000 give or take. Building your own means you can pick quality components, especially PSUs as well as motherboards.

Find a friend who's a techie or who knows one and have a talk. Together you can pick a case that's attractive to you and let him do the rest, tailor made for you and use Windows 7 64 bit which is a great OS. Also you don't need more than 8 gigs of mems.

Good luck mate. :)

By the way, I build my own systems and I used this site as a guide but I don't always get what they recommend, usually I get better.

Price is too high for me too.
I will also go for building a custom PC with the help of the professionals.
