I was given a asus G20 desktop computer without a power cord I tried using a universal laptop charger but that did not work and I cannot find a power cord to fit this computer can you guys help? The model is g20aj - b09 I7 CPU and Nvidia G-Force GPU and when I plugged in the universal laptop power cord it turned on but seems to only work the fans because it will not power my monitor
 
Your monitor requires a separate power cord. Its possible there is something wrong with the computer to where it won't post.
 
Those Asus machines are weird, and require an external power adapter that's bigger than anything a laptop would use. Most laptops cap out at 90w, and this one needs 180w.
