I bought an asus g73 about a year and a half ago, got the 2 year accidental protection plan from Best Buy. The laptop's GPU started overheating, shuts off aroudn 120 degrees. Only while gaming, still ran hot just idling. I took it to Geek Squad and they sent it off for "repair". Now the last time they did this, my GPU was completely fried, no display on the screen, or externally. They couldn't "repair" it so I got a full replacement or $1200 in store credit. Will the Geek Squad repair attempt to repair this issue? Or will the allow a replacement. I want a smaller laptop since I upgraded the video card in my desktop and no longer need such a demanding laptop.

if it's still under warranty and they can't fix it you'll get a replacement again. but i can see them fixing it since it's a dedicated gpu and not a integrated one, at least it wold makes sense for me that way.
