ASUS GL753VE Not Booting After Battery Replacement

Haven't been here in a while

I got a GL753VE from a friend for cheap; it didn't have a battery in it when I got it, so I ordered one. But after installing it, it won't boot into Windows unless plugged in. But when booted, I can disconnect the power and use it like normal. Any ideas?

This battery is NOT genuine; it was a well-rated unit on Amazon

Its probably not liking the off brand battery or there is an issue with it. Only thing to try is a genuine replacement. Another thought would be if there was no battery then it's possible there is something wrong with the circuit. Maybe ask your "friend" for some insight.

He bought it without the battery, so he doesn't know what its history is, he only had the laptop for about a week

With no assistance from the charger, it boots into the BIOS just fine, and boots into the "recovery" Windows screen, but if I try to start Windows or log in with the battery disconnected, still shuts off

Ive tried:
Resetting the BIOS
Hard resetting EC
Turning fast boot off
Turning the power plan to balanced
Checked battery health with CMD (It's healthy)

What wattage is that? I typically see the capacity to be at least double that....

But yeah the cycle is most likely from factory or maybe a returned device

Yeah I think that the issue is with the battery. The full charge capacity should not be more than the design capacity (unless that was flipped when you typed it?)

Yeah its not flipped around, that's what it says on the report. I'm gonna try running the battery down and recharging it, the manual says so, but otherwise it's gonna get returned if its not fixed.

The only main brand battery I could find is over 100 bucks. Is there any cheaper alternative?

I wouldn't spend too much time on that as its already almost 10 years old. Sounds like its got its issues.
