So your dvd drive isn't always recognized? Is that the problem? It could be a driver issue or a bad drive. Do you see the drive when you look in device manager? (Right click computer>manage, then choose device manager on the left column.)
 
sometimes it appears on the device manager and sometimes not.
i try to update the device driver and it says it is the latest version.
