Asus K8V-SE Deluxe Bios/Flash Help!

I have a Asus K8V-SE Deluxe MB and i want to flash my BIOS to the newer version could someone please explain to me how to do this with a removable usb drive, and also the steps i need to take...i find the steps on the internet to confusing. Thx!
 
its pretty simple to use, if you haven't installed it, its on your motherboard disk... when i flashed mine tho i had an error message saying cmos check sum error bad... seems ok now tho :confused:
 
I've never had a problem with it, also Asus boards are pretty tolerant (as are all good boards are now) of a bios update gone bad.
 
you start it up, then pick 'update BIOS from internet' from the drop down box press next, then you will get another drop down with a server list. Pick a server, some might not have BIOS' on them, if this happens pick a different server. Once BIOS images are found you will get another drop down box with a selection of available images, pick the one you want (usually the most recent Final build, beta BIOS are..well, betas :)). It will then download the file and flash the BIOS
 
ok, everything went fairly fine...i had to re adjust some bios settings but everything is 100% now. But could you tell me what the difference is between bios 1004 and 1006?
 
im kinda scared of using the asus update utility ive heard many problems with it.

Its in the manual but basically, run it .. either use the webupdate or point ot a ROM you've downloaded already ... keep clicking next.

But could you tell me what the difference is between bios 1004 and 1006?

See the website where you [can] downlaod the BIOSes :)
