Just finished building a new PC with the following:
Here's the funny part. When booting up, it gives the usual device run through list from the BIOS. Upon reaching the end of the list, you can hear the HDDs power down and the screen goes black - this lasts for 1 second at most. After that, the HDDs power up again and XP loads just fine.
Is this something to worry about? Apart from this quirk, everything else runs fine! Please advise.
- Asus K8V-X mobo
- AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU
- 512 MB DDR RAM (Kingston)
- Asus 9250GE/TD/256
- A couple of HDs that I salvaged (12 GB, 80 GB)
- 350W PSU
- and the X01 case with 2 case fans - 1 on the front and 1 on the side
