asus m2v problem drivers?

hello,

i just formated my computer and now i need to install all the driver etc again, but as i dont have my driver cd anymore i got problems in finding the right driver for my mainboard

I got a Asus M2V 1.01G, thats at least what it says on the mainboard itself, there is also another pink slot where it says M2V <green> on it.
i got a geforce 7600 gt as graphic card, and an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 3800+ processor

i have no idea what the other hardware is like my soundcard or ethernet controller.

so my problem is i downloaded already various driver for the m2v motherboard, on the asus website and from different sites of the internet, but it just somehow doesnt work, also there are so called ROM files which i sometimes download, where i have absolutley no idea how to open them or how to start them.

so if anybody could tell me please which one the exact driver is i need and how these "ROM" files work i would really appreciate it.

if you need any more information i can provide them really fast in replying because i am just looking to make this work at the moment -.-
 
Just looks like a zip file. Unload them, if there is a setup file just run it. If not go to the device in device manager, do a driver update and direct it to the folder you unzipped it to.
 
i know i have to unpack a zip file :D

i also tried to install them through the device manager, but for example if i want to install the lan driver my computer just freezes while installing

so in really got no idea what the problem is...

i downloaded all drivers from the asus website for the asus m2v but it doesnt work....

any other advices?
 
i just looked, all the drivers are on the asus website. The download files are .rar files and you need winrar to extract them. Geforce 7600 gt drivers are at nvidia.com

i know i downloaded all of them which i needed etc. and i know i need a programm to unzip things, but there is some kind of winzip already on the computer so it doesnt matter at all....
i just dont get whats wrong...
