On newegg.com, when looking at motherboards, if under CPU type they state only core i7 and not core i7 extreme edition, are they not recommended for the extreme edition?
I notice the p6t deluxe does not say extreme edition and some others do.

Also, I was wondering, if it says
Memory Standard: DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/ 1600(O.C.)/1333/1066
Does that mean I will have to overclock the motherboard to use faster memory than 1333?
 
dont think so really, obviously the more expensive the motherboard the better features you get...

when a motherboard says socket 1366 i7 cpu's it means the whole range, if it says i7 extreme its like marketing to the high end user/overclocker!

as long as it doesnt say not compatable with i7 extreme edition (i dont think there is a socket 1366 mobo uncompatable)

* My G.Skill memory was DDR3 1600. When installed in my Gigabyte MOBO with similar description - it defaulted to 1066
* I had to adjust the Latency ? in the BIOS to get it to 1600.
It slightly bumped up the voltage ( I think that's what they mean by 1600 O.C. ). Was pretty simple to figure it out intuitively - once I knew I was supposed to adjust the timing.
