Is the ASUS M2N-E compatible with OCZ DDR2-800 memory? I have read that it is not compatible which sucks cause its on its way to my house.

Is there a way that I can make it work with this mobo?

Some people seem to have trouble with ASUS and OCZ, I actually have that combo, it just works funky sometimes, even though ASUS and OCZ have like articles one their websites talking about how they are working together for compatibility. It will work fine though, have no worries, and if it doesn't thats what return policies are for.

Speculation:

I believe that the issue with the ASUS boards and OCZ ram is with people using the higher voltage ram. Looking through Newegg and other reviews, it seems most are using ram with 2.0-2.1 voltages. There's one OCZ ram that is 1.9 or 1.95 that I don't think I've heard any troubles with. This is also the reason everybody is buying up Corsair XMS2 modules: 1.9v memory for stability in that board.

bball, as it happens, you have the "Gold" memory in your ASUS board. What voltage is your RAM running?

Well my mobo had the stock voltage at 2.6 but my ram requires 2.8 so I have it running at 2.8. Here are my timings, they are actual higher then the stock, but I was having issues with them before. I had to reset the cmos once and these are the timings they went to. I think this is my ram, and I have an ASUS A8N-SLI premium, since I reset the timings its been working pretty well, I finally am able to have all 4 sticks in at once. :D

Id say try it out. Its always worth a try. No point in going through the hassel of returning it when it would have worked. Give it a try and see if it works.
