Its got the do with the budget too, i mean you have the gigabyte P-35 boards that are very nice overclocker and you have the 680i boards that have the SLI option. It all depends on what you plan on doing and your budget, they all have their pro's and con's. For video card however i would choose EVGA. I love my Foxconn board, though its for AMD and im not familiar with any of their Intel motherboards so i couldn't comment on that. EVGA has gotten their reputation mainly from their video cards. Companys such as EVGA don't exactly "make" the video card they just kind of "put them together" so when it comes down to it your buying from gigabyte or evga judging by their customer service and what they have to offer.
