Asus or Intel

I wanted to get some opinions on which of these Mobos would be the most reliable (highest quality). O.C.ing is not an overly important issue with me at this time (first build / rookie), I'm more concerned with ease of initial installation (i.e. instructions, web site support quality) and start-up.

Again, ease of installation and quality of support are more important to me than Bells / Whistles / and or O.C.ing. Thanks in advance for your input. :)

1. Both those boards are crazy expensive if you're just going for stability.
2. Do you plan on doing heavy gaming, heavy multitasking, what?

Not sure how "Heavy" of anything I will eventually throw at it. I'm trying to build something that will take just about anything that I do throw at it and will be able to handle the new technologies (64-Bit, Dual Core, the Extreme Edition processors when the price gets more reasonable, DDR2, etc.) without having to turn around in a year or two and buy another board. Am I thinking right or over doing it?

we could figure out better what you need if you tell us what your doing? like photoshop stuff , gaming, internet stuff?

if its not for gaming, id get the intel. overall, its probley better quality and last you longer
