Can anyone tell me;
How much Memory can the Asus P4B533 hold?
Whats the Maximum Memory size that can fit into one slot?
Can I use a ATI Radeon 9600 XT 256MB DDR AGP on it?

Thanks Adam.

A quick trip to Asus is all it takes to look over the specifications. 1gb dimms will be the maximum size for each slot. Three of them would give you the 3gb maximum.

Expansion Slots
1 x AGP 8X
6 x PCI
shows that any AGP 8x/4x card should work without problem. The 9600 has a good chip in it. I ran the 9550 that used the same chip without problems.

If you go back into it you have the option to delete it or have a moderator take of it for you. That happens often so don't panic... PANIC! :eek: !!!! there. :confused: Yes I know the feeliing. :) Review the user's manual anyways for information on memory and enabling dual channel mode. On some boards more often 3gb models filling all dimm slots forces single channel. Most of those were the earlier Socket 939 or Intel model boards.

If you are not set on the 9600 you can find a good price on a newer model. After a period of time the newer Catalyst updates will refuse to work on the older models that are either discontinued or simply are too old for the latest. Then you have to go a few updates to get the last that will work.
