I just got this mobo and was wondering what memory to get. I know what specs the memory needs to be but i guess this is more of a brand question. I have heard that OCZ memory is not compatable with this chipset or at least has problems with it sometimes. Just looking for some advice!

Thanks

I'm not sure if this might be much help to you... However I've a P7P55D LE Motherboard, and I'm currently running RAM sticks (see sig) that isn't listed as officialy supported by the motherboard, and running a motherboard that my RAM doesn't list as supported either. It also runs fine at its stock speed, of 1600MHz. I suppose since your MoBo is better than mine in the Asus P55-lineup, I suppose it should handle most RAM fine. I suggest you borrow some friend's Memory, perhaps to test. I'm sure your MoBo has the 'MemOK!' tool? It's a nice tool to get incompatible memory booting with compatible settings.

I have a P7P55 as well and I've got OCZ RAM which has worked fine. The only time I recall having issues with OCZ was with boards based on the i965 and even then OCZ's support was really good about fixing it.
