Everyone is saying that the Northbridge runs too hot. How to fix that problem? Where do you put a fan to cool off the NB?

Does anyone have any experience with this motherboard? Any objections to it?

Some people are taking the passive heat sink off and buying an aftermarket one with a fan to help keep the NB cool. Others are removing the passive heat sink and applying thermal paste and putting the passive heat sink back ,then zip tie a small fan to blow directly on the NB. However, if you remove the Passive heat sink, bear in mind that it voids your warranty. The only other option is to go with a water cooling setup.

I have a water cooling setup actually. But just for the CPU... does that make a difference for cooling the NB?

As long as you have decent case cooling then water cooling the CPU should make things better since that is no longer a major heat producer.

I would go with the P5E , I too had the big decision to stay with SLI or go to a single video card. I chose the P5K Premium and a 8800GTS 512 and I don't regret a minute of doing it . I have less heat , use less power and have a more stable system at the moment. A big plus to me is now every time a new video card comes out I only to buy one card.
