Right since my computer has started beeping (broke) i decided to have a more detailed look at everything inside and i found on the VGA input written "Foxconn" but i thought Asus and Foxconn were in competition with each other?

I'm not sure whether Asus uses those parts, but I know many other motherboard makers does. XFX and EVGA are the same exact mobos from Foxconn. The only difference is sometimes warranty and support.

Foxconn is the largest electronics manufacturer in the world and mostly are contracted by other firms so it's probablt Asus ordered some of their parts to save money instead of building their own. My Gigabyte boards have a similar thing going on.

My MSI motherboard has Foxconn parts.

As PabloTeK mentioned, Foxconn is not only a manufacturer of computer components, they're a parts supplier for many other companies who manufacturer computer components.

Foxconn makes about every part on motherboards including the PCB board . About all the major boards makers end up getting foxconn parts on them from there parts suppliers. Foxconn makes all of XFX and EVGA motherboards
