i will go for the Dell Vostro,.Dell ha s a good name to carry on and beside the intel i5-2410M. then the 14" screen if portability is the issue.
for the Price a little difference between the Two so why not Pick Up DeLL

Asus. many reasons. Quality being the top one. Asus is a top quality machine, and dell is some of the lowest quality machines on the market. for proof, read this

The Asus also has a better processor and GPU combination. This will lead to a computer that can do more. Also cheaper. its a no brainer.

Maybe the Inspiron, but the Vostro is still a small business laptop and is still built better than an Inspiron.

However in this case I'd go ASUS because Intel video sucks.

The Asus has the better Graphics Chip but if you do not game then I would recommend the Dell only for the fact that Dell business line is better then most computers in the non business line.

I have owned a lot of Dell's in my time and they have been great computers even the Inspiron line. My B130 was four years old when I got rid of it and the only thing that went wrong on it was the power brick towards the end and that laptop had spent more time traveling then probably most laptops on this forum.
