ASUS 680i vs. eVga 680i vs. P5B Deluxe vs. DS3

which one to get, if i really dont care about quad core and I want really great OC capability?

What are the prices on all 3 of those? I have the eVGA 680i and I love it, tons of great features and great overclocking ability.

id go with the evga 680i...great overclocker and one of the best mobos out there right now (im getting it too :D ). also has very good reviews...

the asus and evga 680i are much more expensive then the other two mobos, but they are very much worth the price jump (well at least the evga 680i is)

Any of those will do great. It all depends on what features you want, and how much you wish to spend.

Sorry Beast, I totally forgot the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe, i just remembered to put it in right after, then i didnt

I know the eVga is an excellent OCer, but i have heard about some of the SATA and RAID problems that it has, which is what I am worried about. Does anyone know the exact problems so I know what to expect and avoid?

I run a SATAII 320GB hard drive with absolutely no problems.

yeah, so im now going the get the eVga 680i, great futureability, OC ability, Quad Core capable, and when i order it in like 2 months, all the tiny problems should be all fixed. sweet

it could also handle 2.1 volt memory, right?

Yes, it will be able to, just make sure to up the voltage from the stock 1.8V.

Funny enough in a review I read at www.tomshardware.com the P965 scored higher on most but not all of the benchmarks versus the 975X and 680i boards. Kind of shocked me but check it out. Although all the scores were pretty close in general. http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/12/19/intel_or_nvidia/index.html

Quote from article: Our recommendation is simple: Go with the nForce 680i SLI if you want the best platform for Core 2, or stick to the P965 if price/performance is your priority.

i also read on eVga's forum that the 680i needs 1.8-1.9 volt RAM to POST, so what should I do? Does 2.1 volt not work at all, like corsair XMS2? Or will this RAM successfully downgrade to 1.8v and POST so i can go into BIOS and change it? I am stuck
