Asus X205TA

Hello everyone! I am having an issue with my laptop, where it simply will not turn on.

It is an Asus X205TA, it is not covered with a warranty.

So, what happened, is that me, being the dumb person I am, I have a USB hub, it has worked a lot before, but I could not find the cord for it. I ended up finding a random cord in my house, and plugged it in.

I plugged the USB hub into my laptop, and then it just shut off.

Now, no power light shows up, no charging light. Can someone help me?

Whenever I plug the USB hub back in with the same cord that isn't the original, the light blinks on the USB hub, and on the laptop. I have no idea if that means anything, but I would like it if I could get some help. There is no removable battery, so I can't hard reset it.

Thanks!

You probably fried something by using a power adapter that was too strong for the hub.

Sounds like it grounded out.

I've seen that on desktops where you have to remove the P1 connector and clear CMOS for it to recover. Not sure if you would need to do something more than remove the battery for a bit (and/or try to turn it on with no battery or plug-in connection) to get it out of the failsafe state. Since it has an integrated battery you may have to open it up.

Okay, is there any way to fix it?

I removed the battery for a bit, plugged it back in and nothing.

On the motherboard, I do not see a battery, so I have no idea if there is a different way to reset it.
