Hi,
Im planning to get this card used from a friend (The one whos computer blew up)

Would it be a worthy upgrade from my 6600GT? Also, would there be any issues with an ATI card running on an nVidia NF4 chipset?

The card does work, ive tested it on my computer. However, its extremely noisy, and I havent tried to do anything with it, i only put it in to see if it was working.

Its been on pretty much max o/c since he got it 3 months ago tho.....

EDIT: Also, how would it compare to a 7600GT? I can get one brand new for £150...

Mmmmmm, actually, it doesnt matter, its performance is on par with a 6800gt, and a 7600gt can out-perform one of these... so i think ill forget about it.

I dont think it would be worth it, i would go for the 7600GT. But it would reall only be worth getting if you can sell your 6600GT for a good price.

ATI cards work fine on NF4, i had my old x800GTO on an nForce 4 Ultra motherboard and it ran fine.

nah i dont think that that is a great price especiall since it is used. a it is a reasonable step up from the 6600gt, but i dont think that it is enough, the as omega said the 7600gt would be the way to go

ya the 7600 is an exelent card u can get max gfx on all ur games depending on ur cpu and ram as well but it is as good as a 7800 or higher u just get lower frame rates
